अनुक्त्वा च ततः किंचिच्छरवर्षेण पाण्डवम्
anuktvā ca tataḥ kiñcic charavarṣeṇa pāṇḍavam
Yudhiṣṭhira berkata: “Kemudian, tanpa mengucapkan apa-apa lagi, dia menyerang Pāṇḍava dengan hujan anak panah.”
(युधिष्टिर उवाच
The verse highlights a battlefield ethic: when conflict reaches its peak, words may cease and action becomes decisive. It implicitly contrasts restraint in speech with the uncompromising execution of martial duty, raising the tension between moral hesitation and kṣatriya obligation.
In Yudhiṣṭhira’s narration, a combatant—after saying nothing further—launches an intense arrow-barrage against a Pāṇḍava warrior, indicating an escalation of the duel and a turn toward immediate, forceful engagement.
