Chapter 45
यस्त्वस्य विहितो घातस्तं करिष्यामि भारत । प्रधानवध एवास्य विनाशस्तं करोम्यहम्,'युद्धशास्त्रमें इस व्यूहके विनाशके लिये जो उपाय बताया गया है, उसीका सम्पादन करूँगा। प्रधान सेनापतिका वध होनेपर ही इसका विनाश हो सकता है; अतः मैं वही करूँगा”
sañjaya uvāca | yastv asya vihito ghātastam kariṣyāmi bhārata | pradhāna-vadha evāsya vināśas taṃ karomy aham ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Bhārata, aku akan melaksanakan tepat seperti cara pembunuhan yang telah ditetapkan untuk memusnahkan formasi ini. Kehancurannya hanya mungkin apabila panglima utamanya terbunuh; maka itulah yang akan aku lakukan.”
