नीतिमन्तस्तथा युक्ता दक्षा रक्ताश्न ते हता: । न त्वेव कार्य नैराश्यमस्माभिवविजयं प्रति,“हमारे पक्षमें जो देवताओंके समान पराक्रमी, विश्व-विख्यात महारथी वीर, नीतिमान्‌, साधनसम्पन्न, दक्ष और स्वामीके प्रति अनुरक्त थे, वे सब-के-सब मारे गये, तथापि हमें अपनी विजयके प्रति निराश नहीं होना चाहिये

Transliteration

sañjaya uvāca |

nītimantastathā yuktā dakṣā raktāś ca te hatāḥ |

na tveva kārya nairāśyam asmābhir vijayaṃ prati ||

Translation

Sañjaya berkata: Orang-orangmu itu—teguh dalam dasar yang benar, lengkap dan berdisiplin, cekap dalam tindakan, serta setia dengan sepenuh hati—memang telah terbunuh. Namun demikian, kita tidak boleh berputus asa tentang kemenangan.
