Night Vigil and Kṛṣṇa’s Instructions to Dāruka (निशि प्रजागरः—दारुकानुशासनम्)
इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत अभिमन्युवधपर्वमें षोडशराजकीयोपाख्यानविषयक पचपनवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ ॥/ ५५ ॥। (दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके ४ श्लोक मिलाकर ५४ श्लोक हैं) ऑपन-- मा बछ। अप ऋाल षट्पज्चाशत्तमो< ध्याय: राजा सुहोत्रकी दानशीलता नारद उवाच सुहोत्रं नाम राजानं मृतं सृज्जय शुश्रुम । एकवीरमशकक्यं तममरैरभिवीक्षितुम्
nārada uvāca | suhotraṃ nāma rājānaṃ mṛtaṃ sṛñjaya śuśruma | ekavīram aśakyaṃ taṃ amarair abhivīkṣitum ||
Narada said: “O Sṛñjaya, we have heard that a king named Suhotra has also met his death. In his time he was a peerless hero—so formidable that even the immortals could not bear to look upon him directly.”
नारद उवाच
Even the most peerless worldly power—so great that it intimidates even the gods—remains subject to death; the verse frames heroism and fame within the ethical reminder of human mortality.
