द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय २७: सुशर्माह्वानम्, अर्जुनस्य प्रतिनिवर्तनम्, भगदत्तेन गजप्रहारः
रजो दृष्टवा समद्धभूतं श्रुव्वा च गजनि:स्वनम् । भगदत्ते विकुर्वाणे कौन्तेय: कृष्णमब्रवीत्
rajo dṛṣṭvā samṛddha-bhūtaṃ śrutvā ca gaja-niḥsvanam | bhagadatte vikurvāṇe kaunteyaḥ kṛṣṇam abravīt ||
Sañjaya berkata: Melihat debu naik tebal dan mendengar deruman trompet gajah ketika Bhagadatta bertempur dengan pameran keganasan, Arjuna, putera Kuntī, berkata kepada Kṛṣṇa. Adegan itu menegaskan bahawa gemuruh dan tontonan perang mampu menggoncang bahkan yang teguh, dan bahawa seorang pahlawan mencari nasihat yang jelas serta tindakan yang benar di tengah kekuatan yang melimpah-ruah.
