Dharmaraja Yudhiṣṭhira menghujani Śalya, raja Madra, dengan banyak anak panah yang menembusi titik-titik genting. Śalya, penguasa Madra, membalas dengan menikam Yudhiṣṭhira dengan enam puluh empat anak panah, lalu mengaum dengan kuat.
