Rātri-yuddhe Droṇasya prahāraḥ — Bhīmasenasya dhārtarāṣṭra-śūrānām nigrahaḥ

स तान् विद्राव्य कौन्तेय: संख्येअमित्रान् दुरासदान् | सुपर्ण इव वेगेन पक्षिराडत्यगाच्चमूम्,कुन्तीकुमार भीमसेन युद्धस्थलमें उन दुर्जय शत्रुओंको भगाकर पक्षिराज गरुडके समान वेगसे उस सेनाको लाँघ गये
sa tān vidrāvya kaunteyaḥ saṅkhye 'mitrān durāsadān | suparṇa iva vegena pakṣirāḍ atyagāc chamūm ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Setelah menghalau musuh-musuh yang sukar ditundukkan itu di tengah pertempuran, Bhīmasena, putera Kuntī, meluru ke hadapan sepantas Suparṇa (Garuḍa) dan melangkaui bala tentera lawan.”
