तस्माद्‌ भीम निवर्तस्व मम चेदिच्छसि प्रियम्‌ । “शत्रुदमन वीर! इस समय और भविष्यमें भी राजाकी रक्षा करना ही श्रेयस्कर है। तुम मेरा बल जानते हो और मैं तुम्हारा। अतः भीमसेन! यदि तुम मेरा प्रिय करना चाहते हो तो लौट जाओ

tasmād bhīma nivartasva mama cedicchasi priyam |

Sanjaya berkata: “Maka, wahai Bhīma, berpalinglah kembali—jika engkau mahu melakukan sesuatu yang menyenangkan hatiku. Pada saat ini dan juga untuk hari-hari mendatang, yang lebih bijaksana ialah melindungi raja. Engkau mengetahui kekuatanku, dan aku mengetahui kekuatanmu; maka, Bhīmasena, jika engkau ingin menyenangkan aku, undurlah.”
