त्वामेवाद्य युयुत्सन्ते पश्य कालस्य पर्ययम्‌ । “महाराज! यह कालचक्रका परिवर्तन तो देखिये--जो पूर्वकालमें दृढ़तापूर्वक आपकी सेवा करनेवाले थे, वे आज आपफसे ही युद्ध करना चाहते हैं

tvām evādya yuyutsante paśya kālasya paryayam |

Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, hanya tuanku yang kini mereka ingin perangi. Lihatlah putaran Waktu: mereka yang dahulu berkhidmat kepadamu dengan setia dan teguh, hari ini berpaling untuk berhadapan denganmu di medan perang.”
