तामापतन्तीं सम्प्रेक्ष्य वियत्स्थामशनीमिव । उत्पत्य राक्षसस्तूर्ण जग्राह च ननाद च
tām āpatantīṃ samprekṣya viyat-sthām aśanīm iva | utpatya rākṣasas tūrṇaṃ jagrāha ca nanāda ca ||
Sañjaya berkata: Melihat śakti itu meluru turun dari angkasa bagaikan halilintar yang menyambar, rākṣasa Ghaṭotkaca segera melompat, menyambarnya, lalu mengaum lantang seperti singa.
