Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Bhārata, tampaklah pedang-pedang berkilau laksana kain putih yang bersih, dan panji-panji berlambang lembu jantan yang menakjubkan—terang benderang seperti seratus bulan.”
संजय उवाच
The verse implicitly contrasts the radiant beauty of weapons and emblems with their purpose in destruction, reminding the reader that outward splendor in war does not resolve the underlying ethical crisis of dharma contested through violence.
Sañjaya is describing what is visible on the battlefield: shining swords and striking insignia (notably bull-marks), portrayed with luminous comparisons (spotless cloth, a hundred moons) to convey the intense, dazzling martial scene.
