Ghaṭotkaca–Duryodhana Engagement

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the kṣatriya ideal of direct confrontation in battle: a warrior openly declares intent (roar/challenge) and advances with courage, making the conflict explicit rather than covert.

Sañjaya reports that Bhīma, with a sudden lion-like roar, moves forward to meet the opponent, wielding his mace and issuing threats—signaling the start of an intense face-to-face engagement.
