“महाबली भीम मेरे सखा और सम्बन्धी हैं। वे हम लोगोंके भक्त हैं और मैं भी उन शत्रुसूदन भीमका भक्त हूँ ।। सो<हं तत्र गमिष्यामि यत्र यातो वृकोदर: । निष्नन्तं मां रिपून्‌ पश्य दानवानिव वासवम्‌,“अतः मैं भी वहीं जाऊँगा जहाँ भीमसेन गये हैं। देखो जैसे इन्द्र दानवोंका संहार करते हैं, उसी प्रकार मैं भी शत्रुसेनाका विनाश कर रहा हूँ”

mahābalī bhīma me sakhā ca sambandhī ca; te asmākaṃ bhaktāḥ, aham api śatrusūdana-bhīmasya bhaktaḥ. so 'haṃ tatra gamiṣyāmi yatra yāto vṛkodaraḥ; niṣṇantaṃ māṃ ripūn paśya dānavān iva vāsavam.

Sañjaya berkata: “Bhīma yang maha perkasa ialah sahabatku dan juga kerabatku. Dia setia kepada kami, dan aku juga setia kepada Bhīma, si penghancur musuh itu. Maka aku akan pergi ke mana pun Vṛkodara telah pergi. Lihatlah aku menumpaskan para lawan, sebagaimana Vāsava (Indra) dahulu membinasakan para Dānava.”
