भीष्मपर्व — अध्याय ६२: वासुदेवमहात्म्यप्रशंसा (देव–ब्रह्मसंवादः)
अर्जुनस्तु ततः क्रुद्धस्तव सैन्यं विशाम्पते । ववर्ष शरवर्षेण धाराभिरिव तोयद:,प्रजानाथ! तदनन्तर क्रोधमें भरे हुए अर्जुन आपकी सेनापर उसी प्रकार बाणोंकी वर्षा करने लगे, जैसे बादल पानीकी धारा बरसाता है
arjunas tu tataḥ kruddhas tava sainyaṁ viśāmpate | vavarṣa śaravarṣeṇa dhārābhir iva toyadaḥ ||
Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian Arjuna, menyala dengan amarah, mencurahkan hujan anak panah ke atas bala tentera tuanku, wahai penghulu manusia—seperti awan hujan menumpahkan aliran air yang deras.
