Sañjaya berkata: Setelah itu, ketika para prajurit tuanku dan pihak lawan saling menewaskan, pertempuran yang mengerikan pun meletus serta-merta—kereta perang bertembung dengan kereta perang dan gajah beradu dengan gajah—setiap pihak bertekad menundukkan yang lain dalam arus perang yang tidak mengenal henti.
