अभ्यधावन्त सहिता: शल्यप्रभूतयो रथा: । रथियोंमें श्रेष्ठ भीष्मको रथहीन हुआ देख शल्य आदि उत्तम महारथी एक साथ दौड़े
abhya-dhāvanta sahitāḥ śalya-prabhūtayo rathāḥ |
Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian kereta-kereta perang—dipimpin oleh Śalya dan para maharathi terunggul yang lain—meluru ke hadapan bersama-sama. Melihat Bhīṣma, yang terbaik antara para pahlawan kereta, telah menjadi tanpa kereta, mereka segera bergegas seia sekata untuk menyokong dan melindunginya.
