आपततन्तं ततो भीष्मो भीमसेन॑ प्रतापवान्
āpatatantaṃ tato bhīṣmo bhīmasenaṃ pratāpavān
Sañjaya berkata: Kemudian Bhīṣma yang perkasa, menyala dengan keperwiraannya, tampil menghadang Bhīmasena yang mara ke hadapan—seumpama wibawa yang matang bertemu daya yang meluap, di tengah beban moral perang saudara.
