Educational Q&A

The verse highlights collective resolve in warfare: renowned leaders act in concert, showing how loyalty and coordinated force shape events. Ethically, it points to the Mahābhārata’s tension between personal duty to one’s side and the broader consequences of violent action.

Sañjaya reports that the warriors are charging/attacking, accompanied by major Kaurava champions—Droṇa, Śalya, and Kṛpa—indicating a concentrated advance by the Kaurava force at this moment in the battle.
