Śraddhā–Guṇa–Vibhāga Yoga (Faith and the Three Guṇas) — Mahābhārata Book 6, Chapter 39

The doctrine under discussion is validated through three authoritative channels: the insights of realized seers (ṛṣis), the Vedic revelation expressed in many metres (chandas), and the logically reasoned conclusions of the Brahma-sūtras. Together they present the teaching as both revealed and rationally established.
In the midst of the war-setting discourse, Arjuna points out that the topic being taught is not novel or isolated; it is repeatedly taught across the Vedas and clarified by the Brahma-sūtras. This frames the instruction as part of a long, respected tradition of dharmic and philosophical inquiry.
