Field, Knower, Knowledge, and the Knowable
यच्चापि सर्वभूतानां बीजं तदहमर्जुन । न तदस्ति विना यत् स्यान्मया भूतं चराचरम्
yac cāpi sarvabhūtānāṁ bījaṁ tad aham arjuna | na tad asti vinā yat syān mayā bhūtaṁ carācaram ||
Wahai Arjuna, apa jua yang menjadi benih—punca asal—bagi segala makhluk, itulah juga Aku. Kerana tiada satu pun makhluk, sama ada bergerak atau tidak bergerak, yang dapat wujud tanpa-Ku.
अजुन उवाच
The supreme reality is the originating seed and sustaining presence of all beings; nothing—animate or inanimate—exists independent of it. This supports an ethic of humility, reverence for life, and steadiness of mind by seeing a single ground behind all diversity.
In the Bhishma Parva’s teaching dialogue on the battlefield, the speaker is presenting a vision of universal divine presence, assuring Arjuna that all existence depends upon that supreme source even as Arjuna faces the moral strain of war.
