तथैव पाण्डवा राजन् सैन्येन महता वृता: । भीष्म संछादयामासुर्मेघा इव दिवाकरम्,राजन! फिर विशाल सेनासे घिरे हुए पाण्डवोंने अपने बाणोंद्वारा भीष्मको उसी प्रकार ढक दिया, जैसे बादल सूर्यदेवको आच्छादित कर देते हैं
tathaiva pāṇḍavā rājan sainyena mahatā vṛtāḥ | bhīṣmaṃ saṃchādayāmāsur meghā iva divākaram ||
Sañjaya berkata: “Wahai Raja, demikianlah juga para Pāṇḍava—dikelilingi bala tentera yang besar—menyelubungi Bhīṣma dengan hujan anak panah yang lebat, bagaikan awan menutupi matahari.”
