भीष्म-पर्व अध्याय १०० — त्रिगर्त-आक्रमण, भीष्म-केन्द्रित पुनर्संयोजन, तथा शक्त्यस्त्र-विनिमय

अभिवाद्य ततो भीष्मं निषण्ण: परमासने | काउचने सर्वतोभद्रे स्पद्धास्तिरणसंवृते,तत्पश्चात्‌ राजा दुर्योधन भीष्मके सुन्दर निवास-स्थानके निकट पहुँचकर घोड़ेसे उतर पड़ा और भीष्मजीके पास जाकर उन्हें प्रणाम करके बहुमूल्य बिछौनोंसे युक्त सर्वतोभद्र नामक सर्वोत्तम स्वर्णमय सिंहासनपर बैठ गया

abhivādya tato bhīṣmaṁ niṣaṇṇaḥ paramāsane | kauśeyane sarvatobhadre spardhāstīraṇasaṁvṛte ||

Sesudah memberi sembah hormat kepada Bhīṣma, baginda pun duduk di tempat tertinggi—di atas singgahsana gemilang bernama Sarvatobhadra, beralas sutera halus dan diselubungi hamparan yang mewah.
