dākṣiṇātya adhika-pāṭhake 1220 śloka milākara kula 1273 ślokāḥ santi | āśvamedhika-parva sampūrṇam | anuṣṭup (anya baḍe chanda) baḍe chandōṃ ko 32 akṣaroṃ ke kula-yoga ko anuṣṭup mānakara ginane para uttara-bhāratīya-pāṭhase liye gaye 2747 || (122) 168

Translation

Vaiśampāyana mencatat dalam gaya kolofon: dalam resensi Selatan (Dakṣiṇātya), terdapat tambahan 1,220 rangkap, menjadikan jumlah keseluruhan bagi bahagian ini 1,273 rangkap; maka Aśvamedhika Parva pun berakhir. Bagi pengiraan metrum, metrum yang lebih panjang kadangkala ditukarkan kepada kiraan setara Anuṣṭubh dengan menganggap setiap jumlah 32 suku kata sebagai satu Anuṣṭubh; menurut kaedah itu, resensi Utara menghasilkan kiraan 2,747.
