Ulūpī’s Disclosure and the Saṃjīvana-Maṇi: Arjuna’s Restoration
The verse frames ethical remembrance: actions in war are to be recounted ‘in full,’ emphasizing accountability and clarity about agency—what was done ‘through’ Arjuna by an elder authority (Śāntanava), highlighting duty within hierarchical counsel.
Arjuna addresses Dhanañjaya (himself addressed by an epithet in dialogue style) and calls for a complete account of a specific episode from the Mahābhārata war—what the Śāntanava king accomplished through Arjuna—setting up a detailed recollection or explanation.
