अभवं स च तच्छुत्वा विषादमगमत् परम् । ः | : है डर “उनकी बातें सुनकर मेरी सारी इन्द्रियाँ व्यथित हो उठीं और पातालमें प्रवेश करके मैंने अपने पितासे यह सारा समाचार कह सुनाया। यह सुनकर पिताजीको भी बड़ा खेद हुआ
abhavaṁ sa ca tac chrutvā viṣādam agamat param |
Arjuna berkata: “Apabila aku mendengar kata-kata itu, aku diliputi dukacita yang amat dahsyat. Pancainderaku terguncang, lalu aku memasuki alam bawah untuk melaporkan seluruh perkara itu kepada ayahku. Mendengarnya, ayahku juga disergap kesedihan yang mendalam.”
