Āśvamedha-dīkṣā-nirdeśaḥ — Scheduling the Initiation and Assigning Protection for the Horse

अश्वमेधो हि राजेन्द्र पावन: सर्वपाप्मनाम्‌ । तेनेष्टवा त्वं विपाप्मा वै भविता नात्र संशय:,राजेन्द्र! अश्वमेधयज्ञ समस्त पापोंका नाश करके यजमानको पवित्र बनानेवाला है। उसका अनुष्ठान करके तुम पापसे मुक्त हो जाओगे, इसमें संशय नहीं है

aśvamedho hi rājendra pāvanaḥ sarvapāpmnām | teniṣṭvā tvaṃ vipāpmā vai bhavitā nātra saṃśayaḥ ||

Vyāsa berkata: “Wahai yang terbaik antara raja-raja, korban suci Aśvamedha itu penyuci yang memusnahkan segala dosa. Setelah engkau melaksanakannya, engkau pasti menjadi bebas daripada dosa—tiada keraguan tentangnya.”
