Entry into the Birth-Chamber and Uttarā’s Appeal
अकाम त्वां करिष्यामि ब्रह्मुबन्धो नराधम । अहं संजीवयिष्यामि किरीटितनयात्मजम्,“ब्रह्मबन्धो! नराधम! मैं तेरी इच्छा पूर्ण नहीं होने दूँगा। अर्जुनके पौत्रको अपने प्रभावसे जीवित कर दूँगा
akāma tvāṁ kariṣyāmi brahmabandho narādhama | ahaṁ saṁjīvayiṣyāmi kirīṭitanayātmajam ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai brahmabandhu, wahai manusia paling hina! Aku tidak akan membiarkan hasratmu terlaksana. Dengan kekuatanku sendiri aku akan menghidupkan kembali anak—cucu kepada Kirīṭin (Arjuna).”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Sacred identity without righteous conduct is condemned (brahmabandhu), and true dharma prioritizes protecting the innocent and correcting grave harm. Power is presented as accountable to ethical ends, not to personal revenge or pride.
The speaker rebukes an opponent as unworthy and declares that the opponent’s aim will be frustrated. He vows to restore the life of Arjuna’s grandson (the child of Arjuna’s son), reversing a wrongful act and asserting moral authority.
