यच्चापि वृष्णिवीरेण कृष्णेन कुरुनन्दन । पुरोक्त तत्‌ तथा भावि मा तेअत्रास्तु विचारणा,“कुरुनन्दन! वृष्णिवंशके वीर पुरुष भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्णने पहले जो कुछ कहा है, वह सब वैसा ही होगा। इस विषयमें तुम्हें कोई अन्यथा विचार नहीं करना चाहिये

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

yac cāpi vṛṣṇivīreṇa kṛṣṇena kurunandana |

pūroktaṃ tat tathā bhāvi mā te 'trāstu vicāraṇā ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai kegembiraan kaum Kuru, apa jua yang dahulu telah diucapkan oleh Kṛṣṇa—wira unggul bangsa Vṛṣṇi—pasti akan terjadi tepat seperti itu. Maka, janganlah engkau menyimpan sebarang keraguan atau sangkaan yang berlawanan dalam perkara ini.”
