उत्तरां च महातेजा: शोक: संत्यज्यतामयम्‌ | भविष्यति महातेजा: पुत्रस्तव यशस्विनि,उसकी इस दशाको दिव्य दृष्टिसे जानकर महान्‌ तेजस्वी बुद्धिमान्‌ महर्षि व्यास वहाँ आये और विशाल नेत्रोंवाली कुन्ती तथा उत्तरासे मिलकर उन्हें समझाते हुए इस प्रकार बोले--'यशस्विनि उत्तरे! तुम यह शोक त्याग दो। तुम्हारा पुत्र महातेजस्वी होगा

uttarāṃ ca mahātejāḥ śokaḥ saṃtyajyatām ayam | bhaviṣyati mahātejāḥ putras tava yaśasvini ||

Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Uttarā yang termasyhur, buanglah dukacita ini. Puteramu akan dikurniai keagungan yang besar.”
