Kṛṣṇa’s Departure, Auspicious Omens, and the Opening of the Uttaṅka Dialogue (कृष्णप्रयाण-निमित्त-उत्तङ्कसंवाद-प्रारम्भः)
इत्युक्ता: सैनिकास्ते तु सज्जी भूता विशाम्पते । आचख्यु: सज्जमित्येवं पार्थायामिततेजसे
ity uktāḥ sainikās te tu sajjī-bhūtā viśāmpate | ācakhyuḥ sajjam ity evaṁ pārthāyāmitatejase ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: Setelah diperintah demikian, para askar itu, wahai tuan rakyat, setelah bersiap sedia, datang melapor kepada Pārtha yang bercahaya tiada terukur, “Kami telah siap.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined readiness and truthful reporting within a righteous command structure: those entrusted with a task respond promptly, prepare themselves, and clearly communicate their preparedness to the leader—an aspect of dharma in collective action.
After being instructed, the soldiers make the necessary preparations and then inform Arjuna (Pārtha), described as possessing immeasurable splendor, that they are ready to proceed.
