Adhyātma-Upadeśa

सहस्नेणापि दुर्मेधा न बुद्धिमधिगच्छति । चतुर्थेनाप्यथांशेन बुद्धिमान्‌ सुखमेधते

sahasreṇāpi durmedhā na buddhim adhigacchati | caturthenāpy athāṁśena buddhimān sukham edhate ||

Vāyu berkata: Orang yang tumpul budi, walau berusaha seribu kali, tetap tidak mencapai daya pertimbangan yang sejati; tetapi orang yang bijaksana, dengan hanya seperempat usaha pun memperoleh kefahaman, lalu berkembang dalam kesejahteraan. Rangkap ini menegaskan bahawa kesiapan batin dan kejernihan minda lebih utama daripada banyaknya jerih payah.
