अतः पर प्रवक्ष्यामि योगशास्त्रमनुत्तमम्‌ । युञ्जन्तः सिद्धमात्मानं यथा पश्यन्ति योगिन:,अब मैं उस परम उत्तम योगशास्त्रका वर्णन करूँगा, जिसके अनुसार योग-साधन करनेवाले योगी पुरुष अपने आत्माका साक्षात्कार कर लेते हैं

ataḥ paraṁ pravakṣyāmi yogaśāstram anuttamam | yuñjantaḥ siddham ātmānaṁ yathā paśyanti yoginaḥ ||

Oleh itu, sekarang aku akan menghuraikan ilmu Yoga yang tiada bandingnya—yang dengannya para pengamal yang berdisiplin, tekun menumpukan diri pada amalan yogik, akhirnya dapat menyaksikan Ātman, Diri sejati, dalam hakikatnya yang sempurna. Ajaran ini menekankan penyedaran batin: melalui kaedah yang benar dan usaha yang teguh, sang yogin memperoleh pandangan langsung tentang sifat sebenar ātman.
