Educational Q&A

Material wealth is presented as ethically meaningful when directed toward dharmic ends—here, sustaining proper worship and the orderly conduct of a yajña, with due honor to companions and elders.

The speaker announces that abundant wealth has been secured and will be used to perform sacrifices to the gods; he proposes that the others be honored by being placed in front as they proceed to bring the wealth into the sacrificial arena for the rite.
