Educational Q&A

One should treat every moment as suitable for fulfilling one’s responsibilities, and maintain appropriate outward discipline—such as proper dress and adornment—so that one’s conduct matches the demands of time, place, and duty.

Vaiśampāyana addresses a Bharata leader with counsel on practical dharma: all times can be used for necessary work, and the person addressed should also remain suitably adorned at the proper times, consistent with their role and the expectations of the occasion.
