शास्त्रमार्गनुसारेण तद् विद्धि मनुजर्षभ । ततः सोडन््तर्हितो बाहुः पितुर्मम जनाधिप,नरश्रेष्ठ! तुम्हें ज्ञात होना चाहिये कि मैंने शास्त्रीय मार्गका अनुसरण करके ही सब कुछ किया। नरेश्वर! तदनन्तर मेरे पिताकी वह बाँह अदृश्य हो गयी
śāstramārgānusāreṇa tad viddhi manujarṣabha | tataḥ so 'ntarhito bāhuḥ pitur mama janādhipa ||
Bhīṣma berkata: “Wahai insan terunggul, ketahuilah bahawa aku bertindak menurut jalan yang ditetapkan oleh śāstra. Kemudian, wahai raja, lengan ayahandaku lenyap daripada pandangan.”
