Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)

विद्यार्थी चाप्तुयाद्‌ विद्यां सुखार्थी प्राप्तुयात्‌ सुखम्‌ । न किंचिद्‌ दुर्लभं चैव गवां भक्तस्य भारत,विद्यार्थी विद्या पाता है और सुखार्थी सुख। भारत! गोभक्तके लिये यहाँ कुछ भी दुर्लभ नहीं है

vidyārthī cāptuyād vidyāṁ sukhārthī prāptuyāt sukham | na kiñcid durlabhaṁ caiva gavāṁ bhaktasya bhārata ||

Bhishma berkata: Pencari ilmu memperoleh pengetahuan, dan pencari kebahagiaan memperoleh kebahagiaan. Wahai Bharata, bagi orang yang berbakti kepada lembu, tiada apa pun di dunia ini yang benar-benar sukar dicapai.
