Chapter 85: Suvarṇasya Janma ca Pradāna-Phalam
The Origin of Gold and the Merit of Gifting
इच्छाम त्वां वयं ज्ञातुं का त्वं क्व च गमिष्यसि । तत्त्वेन वरवर्णाभे सर्वमेतद् ब्रवीहि न:,इसलिये हम तुम्हारा परिचय जानना चाहती हैं। तुम कौन हो और कहाँ जाओगी? वरवर्णिनि! ये सारी बातें हमें ठीक-ठीक बताओ
icchāma tvāṁ vayaṁ jñātuṁ kā tvaṁ kva ca gamiṣyasi | tattvena varavarṇābhe sarvam etad bravīhi naḥ ||
Bhishma berkata: “Kami ingin mengenalmu dengan sebenar-benarnya—siapakah engkau dan ke manakah engkau akan pergi. Wahai wanita berwajah elok dan berwarna seri, nyatakanlah kepada kami semuanya ini tepat sebagaimana adanya.”
