Merit and Destinations from the Gift of Cows
शूरा बहुविधा: प्रोक्तास्तेषामर्थास्तु मे शृणु । शूरान्वयानां निर्दिष्ट फलं शूरस्य चैव हि,शूरवीरोंके अनेक भेद बताये गये हैं। उन सबके तात्पर्य मुझसे सुनो। उन शूरोंके वंशजों तथा शूरोंके लिये जो फल बताया गया है, उसे बता रहा हूँ
bhīṣma uvāca | śūrā bahuvidhāḥ proktās teṣām arthāṁs tu me śṛṇu | śūrānvayānāṁ nirdiṣṭaṁ phalaṁ śūrasya caiva hi ||
Bhishma berkata: “Banyak jenis wira telah dihuraikan. Sekarang dengarlah aku ketika aku menjelaskan maksud yang sebenar. Aku juga akan menyatakan hasil yang telah ditetapkan—baik bagi keturunan para wira itu mahupun bagi wira itu sendiri.”
