दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

सर्वदा पार्थिवेनेह सततं भूतिमिच्छता । भू्देया विधिवच्छक्र पाये सुखमभीप्सुना,इन्द्र! जो राजा सदा ऐश्वर्य चाहता हो और सुख पानेकी इच्छा रखता हो, वह विधिपूर्वक सुपात्रको भूमिदान दे

sarvadā pārthivena iha satataṁ bhūtim icchatā | bhūmi-dānaṁ vidhivat śakra pāye sukham abhīpsunā ||

Bhishma berkata: Wahai Shakra (Indra), di dunia ini seorang raja yang sentiasa menginginkan kemakmuran dan mendamba kebahagiaan hendaklah selalu, menurut tata cara yang ditetapkan, mengurniakan sedekah tanah kepada penerima yang layak.
