Adhyāya 60: Dāna vs. Yajña—Royal Giving, Protection, and Karmic Share

पुरुषप्रवर! तब शक्तिशाली राजा युधिष्ठिरने पाण्डवोंसे कहा--“वीरमार्गके विषयमें पितामहका जो कथन है, उसीमें तुम सब लोगोंकी रुचि होनी चाहिये' ।। ततस्तु पाण्डवा: सर्वे द्रौपदी च यशस्विनी । युधिष्ठिरस्य तद्‌ वाक्‍्यं बाढमित्यभ्यपूजयन्‌,तब समस्त पाण्डवों तथा यशस्विनी द्रौपदी देवीने “बहुत अच्छा” कहकर युधिष्ठिरके उस वचनका आदर किया

tatas tu pāṇḍavāḥ sarve draupadī ca yaśasvinī | yudhiṣṭhirasya tad vākyaṃ bāḍham ity abhipūjayan ||

Wahai yang terunggul antara lelaki! Raja Yudhiṣṭhira yang perkasa berkata kepada para Pāṇḍava: “Tentang jalan kepahlawanan, hendaklah kamu semua menaruh minat pada apa yang telah diucapkan oleh Datuk Agung (Bhīṣma).” Lalu semua Pāṇḍava bersama Draupadī yang termasyhur memuliakan kata-kata Yudhiṣṭhira itu, menjawab: “Baiklah—demikianlah.”
