On the Fruits of Austerity and Giving
नहि ते वृजिनं किंचित् सुसूक्ष्ममपि विद्यते । “वक्ताओंमें श्रेष्ठ पुत्र! तुमने भलीभाँति मेरी आराधना की है। तुम्हारे द्वारा कोई छोटे- से-छोटा या सूक्ष्म-से-सूक्ष्म अपराध भी नहीं हुआ है
nahi te vṛjinaṃ kiṃcit susūkṣmam api vidyate |
Bhishma berkata: “Wahai putera, yang terunggul antara para penutur, pada dirimu tiada sedikit pun jejak kejahatan—tiada salah, walau sekecil atau sehalus mana sekalipun. Engkau telah memuliakan dan berkhidmat kepadaku dengan sepatutnya; maka engkau bebas daripada kesalahan yang paling kecil.”
