इत्येवमुक्त: कुशिक: प्रह्ृष्टेनान्तरात्मना | प्रोवाच मुनिशार्दूलमिदं वचनमर्थवत्‌,मुनिके ऐसा कहनेपर राजा कुशिकने मन-ही-मन अत्यन्त प्रसन्न होकर उन मुनिश्रेष्ठसे यह अर्थयुक्त वचन कहा--“भगवन्‌! महाभाग! आपने हमलोगोंको पवित्र कर दिया। हमारे मनमें तनिक भी खेद या रोष नहीं है। हम दोनोंकी तरुण अवस्था हो गयी तथा हमारा शरीर सुन्दर और बलवान हो गया

ity evam uktaḥ kuśikaḥ prahṛṣṭenāntarātmanā | provāca muniśārdūlam idaṁ vacanam arthavat |

Bhishma berkata: Setelah demikian dititahkan, Raja Kuśika—dengan hati yang bersorak gembira di dalam—berkata kepada sang resi agung, harimau di antara para pertapa, dengan kata-kata yang sarat makna: “Wahai tuan yang mulia, insan yang amat diberkati, tuan telah menyucikan kami. Tiada sedikit pun dukacita atau amarah dalam hati kami. Kami berdua telah kembali ke kemudaaan; tubuh kami menjadi tampan dan kuat.”
