tasya tad vacanaṁ śrutvā rājā bhṛtyāṁs tathābravīt | yad yad brūyān munis tat tat sarvaṁ deyam aśaṅkitaiḥ |

Hearing those words, the king addressed his attendants: “Whatever the sage may ask for—whatever it may be—give it all to him without hesitation or suspicion.” The verse highlights the ethic of honoring holy guests and fulfilling righteous requests with trust and readiness.

Educational Q&A

A ruler should uphold dharma by honoring sages and fulfilling their requests promptly and trustfully—giving without suspicion reflects generosity, reverence, and moral confidence.

After hearing the sage’s words, the king instructs his servants that whatever the sage asks for should be granted fully and without doubt, showing the king’s commitment to righteous conduct.
