Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
नहुष बोले--विप्रवर! इन निषादोंको एक लाख मुद्रा दीजिये। (यों पुरोहितको आज्ञा देकर वे मुनिसे बोले--) भगवन्! क्या यह आपका उचित मूल्य हो सकता है या अभी आप कुछ और देना चाहते हैं? ।।
cyavana uvāca | nāhaṃ śatasahasreṇa nimeyaḥ pārthivarṣabha | dīyatāṃ sadṛśaṃ mūlyam amātyaiḥ saha cintaya ||
Cyavana berkata: “Wahai raja yang unggul antara segala raja, janganlah engkau menilai aku hanya dengan seratus ribu. Bayarlah tebusan yang sepadan; pertimbangkanlah hal ini bersama para menterimu.”
