On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation

एवं तस्मै वरं दत्त्वा वासवो<न्तरधीयत

evaṃ tasmai varaṃ dattvā vāsavo 'ntaradhīyata

Setelah demikian menganugerahkan kurnia itu kepadanya, Vāsava (Indra) pun lenyap dari pandangan—menandakan bahawa pertolongan ilahi diberikan lalu ditarik kembali, dan penerimanya harus menegakkan dharma melalui perilakunya sendiri.

Educational Q&A

Divine gifts may be granted, but the divine does not remain to act in one’s place; after receiving grace, a person must sustain dharma through their own choices and discipline.

Śakra/Indra grants a boon to the addressed person and then vanishes, marking the completion of the divine encounter and the transition back to human action and responsibility.
