Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
चिकित्सका देवलका वृथा नियमधारिण: । सोमविक्रयिणश्वैव राजन् नाहन्ति केतनम्,नरेश्वर! चिकित्सक या वैद्य, देवालयके पुजारी, पाखण्डी और सोमरस बेचनेवाले ब्राह्मण निमन्त्रण देने योग्य नहीं हैं
cikitsakā devalakā vṛthā niyamadhāriṇaḥ | somavikrayiṇaś caiva rājan nāhanti ketanam, nareśvara ||
Bhīṣma berkata: “Wahai Raja, wahai tuan manusia, para tabib (vaidya), para pelayan kuil yang bergantung pada tempat suci (devalaka), mereka yang berikrar secara sia-sia—golongan munafik yang berpura-pura bertapa, dan para penjual Soma—tidak dianggap layak untuk dijemput.”
