मृत्युरात्मा च लोकाश्न जिता भूतानि पञ्च च । बुद्धि: कालो मनो व्योम कामक्रोधी तथैव च,इस प्रकार सुदर्शनने अतिथि-सत्कारके पुण्यसे मृत्यु, आत्मा, लोक, पञ्चभूत, बुद्धि, काल, मन, आकाश, काम और क्रोधको भी जीत लिया

mṛtyur ātmā ca lokāś ca jitā bhūtāni pañca ca | buddhiḥ kālo mano vyoma kāma-krodhau tathaiva ca ||

Bhīṣma berkata: “Dengan pahala yang diperoleh melalui memuliakan tetamu, Sudarśana menjadi menang bahkan atas Kematian, Diri, segala dunia, lima unsur agung, akal budi, Masa, minda, ruang, dan demikian juga nafsu serta kemarahan.”
