Gṛhastha-Vrata
इत्युक्ता तेन विप्रेण राजपुत्री यशस्विनी । विधिना प्रतिजग्राह वेदोक्तेन विशाम्पते,प्रजानाथ! उस ब्राह्मणके ऐसा कहनेपर यशस्विनी राजकुमारी ओघवतीने वेदोक्त विधिसे उसका पूजन किया
ity uktā tena vipreṇa rājaputrī yaśasvinī | vidhinā pratijagrāha vedoktena viśāmpate prajānātha |
Bhishma berkata: Setelah ditegur demikian oleh brahmin itu, puteri raja yang termasyhur, Oghavatī, menerimanya menurut tatacara yang wajar; wahai pelindung rakyat, dia memuliakannya sesuai dengan upacara yang diperintahkan oleh Veda.
भीष्म उवाच
That dharma includes receiving and honoring a worthy guest—especially a learned brahmin—through proper, Veda-sanctioned conduct, emphasizing respect, restraint, and ritual correctness.
After the brahmin speaks to her, the renowned princess (identified in the gloss as Oghavatī) formally receives him and performs his honoring/worship according to Vedic procedure, while Bhishma narrates this to the king addressed as ‘lord of the people’.
