वरो वराहो वरदो वरेण्य: सुमहास्वन: । महाप्रसादो दमन: शत्रुहा श्वेतपिज्रल:
vayudeva uvāca | varo varāho varado vareṇyaḥ sumahāsvanaḥ | mahāprasādo damanaḥ śatruhā śvetapiṅgalaḥ ||
Vāyu berkata: “Dia Yang Terunggul; Varāha, jelmaan Babi Hutan yang mulia; pemberi anugerah; dan Yang layak dipilih serta disembah. Deruman-Nya luas lagi dahsyat. Dia melimpahkan rahmat besar kepada para bhakta, menundukkan yang durjana, membinasakan musuh, dan menampakkan sinar putih keemasan yang kekuningan.”
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse praises the divine as both compassionate and corrective: bestowing grace and boons upon devotees while restraining wrongdoing and destroying hostile forces. Ethically, it frames divine power as aligned with dharma—protecting the good and curbing the wicked.
Vāyudeva speaks a eulogy-like line listing honorific names and qualities of the deity—especially the Varāha form—highlighting majesty (mighty roar), benevolence (great grace), and protective strength (subduer and enemy-destroyer).
