Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the power of sudden transformation—relief from suffering can arise swiftly and appear wondrous, especially when aligned with righteous support and the presence of exemplary leaders. Ethically, it reinforces steadiness and renewed confidence when dharmic order seems to reassert itself.

While a group looks on, a person who had been afflicted by an embedded arrow becomes 'viśalya'—freed from it—almost instantly. The onlookers, with Vāsudeva at their head, react with amazement at the unexpected and immediate change.
